Singapore is located in the Southeast Asia and gaining its independence in 1965, Singapore has come a long way from a small fishing village to the only island-state nation in the world.

Singapore, people had once described it as a Jungle in the Concrete City has now became A City in the Garden. It has earned its name with the many trees planted all over Singapore resulting in almost fifty per cent of the country is covered by trees and plants.

Singapore is also the cleanest city in the world. With the low infant-mortality rate, it reflects the high standards of hygiene and superb health care system.

Although Singapore has only an area of approximately 723 km square; 24% of it is reclaimed, it is a city full of live.

From food to shopping to entertainment, one can never find themselves not exploring this little red dot!  There will be so much to see and so much to do regardless of you being just a child, an adult or a senior! 

In addition, Singapore being a multiracial and multicultural country, one can experience the diversity of food and cultural of each ethnic group.  We live so harmoniously that you can find food from the different ethnic groups sold in the same hawker centre!  Want to learn and experience more on a respective community?  Visit the ethnic enclaves like Chinatown, Little India, Kampong Glam and Joo Chiat Street.

Getting around Singapore is very easy.  The public transport system is very well-connected, and you can easily find your way to your destination at your fingertips.  There are 5 main types of transportation in Singapore;

1) Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) is a local train system.  It has 6 MRT Lines with more than 130 stations span across the country.  It is fast and efficient.

2) The Public Bus system is operating under 4 operators with more than 300 routes islandwide.  All buses are fully air-conditioned, and the fare is affordable.

3) With 7 operators running more than 25,000 Taxi islandwide, Taxi can be flagged on the street or a taxi stand or order by phone.  There is a flagfall fare upon boarding the Taxi and the fare is run on a meter based on per kilometre charge.  Addition surcharge applies depending on the time of travel and the destination you are heading to.

4) “Grab” a ride hailing mobile app that allows you to book a vehicle of your choice.  The fare is based on Supply & Demand therefore varies and surge depending on its availability.

5) Private Chartering Services are the individual transportation companies providing ground transport services in Singapore.  Their fee varies depending on the service required (eg. airport transfer, attractions transfer, point-to-point transfer, hourly booking, etc.), location of pickup and drop-off, time of transfer, etc.
